10th Anniversar​y of The Experience with Grammy Winner Israel Houghton

Chicago (May 4, 2012) Dedry Jones' event, "The Experience" has made the journey from a small event for music lovers to a city-wide and nationally respected event covered by the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun Times, Billboard magazine and more. Local television affiliates FOX-TV and NBC TV have both covered The Experience while singers who are featured in the event have also appeared on WGN and ABC in conjunction with their appearances at 
The Experience.


Previous "Experience" guests have included the legendary Donna Summer, Chaka Khan, Natalie Cole, Ledisi (four times), Kirk Franklin (twice), Common, Maxwell and many more. During her visit to The Experience, Patti Labelle stated, "This (the Experience) is like the Actor's Studio, only better. You should be on TV."

Tuesday, August 21, 2012 marks the 10th Anniversary of this quintessential Chicago based event with the third appearance of Dove, Soul Train and Grammy Award winner, Israel Houghton. Israel says Dedry Jones is "the most well researched interviewer" he has ever encountered and has thanked Mr. Jones for "all that he has done for the gospel community".

This 10th Anniversary edition of The Experience will celebrate the release of the new CD by Israel Houghton and New Breed, Jesus At The Center. Israel has been graced with 2 Gold-selling  albums, 6 Dove Awards, 2 Stellar Awards, a Soul Train Award, and 3  Grammy® Awards - one for "Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album" for The  Power of One, one for "Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album" for       A  Deeper Level  and one for "Best Traditional Gospel Album" for Alive In  South Africa. This new CD is Israel and New Breed's first live recording in 5 years and will cement the group's already heralded standard of excellence.
